FIFA FAIR PLAY AWARD

FIFA traditionally bestows a prestigious annual Fair Play Award upon an individual or a group who have greatly contributed to the promotion of fair play in football.

In its first year in 1987 the fans of Dundee United were awarded this acolade. In support of the goodwill the United fans showed after the defeat of IFK Gothenbourg in the UEFA Cup Final.
