So what will the new season bring for us arabs this season. Well, so far looking at the signings we've made or not made and the current lack of strenght in the squad it looks as if its going to be another disappointing season ahead. Lets go over the team.

We have Stillie in the goal he's not bad but in my opinion we need a new goalie, someone who can get a few clean sheets. In defence there's major problems, we desperately need a solid centre half and a decent left back. If we can't find them soon then these roles are going to have to filled by inexperienced players. Gary Kenneth though could fill the centre half position, but he's going to have to be on his game this season.

In midfield we have lost a number of experienced players, but we have signed two new players Conway and Robb who are classed as wide players, but in the centre we might be lacking with only Mark Kerr in the squad. Up front we have acquired Noel Hunt who by all accounts has not been signed for his goal scoring exploits. However he has the ability to set up goals for his tem mates and open up defences. We also have Craig Brewster still going at the age of 39 who is now on his last legs, but you do have to say he has a brilliant footballing brain and I can see him holding the ball up well and distrubuting for the younger legs. It's also an important season for Lee Miller. He's going to have to prove to his doubters that he is a top striker and also try to get into the Scotland squad and keep his place.

Well what my verdict then? Well I think we are going to struggle to get into the top six and there is a good chance we might end up in a relegation battle again. We have got good young players coming through that that might make the difference this season, but apart from that I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
