Page 5 of 12 FALKIRK
Betting: 2500/1 Predicted Position: 9th Last Season Position: 10th Player to watch: Alan GowLast season, Falkirk's generosity towards their SPL visitors became one of the enduring stories of the campaign. Young men grew old waiting for a first home win, which was finally recorded in April against a Dundee United side in apparently freefall, and nearly expired waiting for their second - a final day triumph over relegated Livingston. Rectifying such a scenario this term will be John Hughes' main aim but doing so with only two recognised forwards on the books - neither renowned for their ability to score goals - might prove as easy as scaling Everest in a vest and flip-flops. Still, the ineptitude of others should ensure Falkirk at least match last season's 10th place with a reasonable chance of going higher.
