Joel Thomas on Trial at United

United have taken former Kaiserslautern and Bordeaux striker Joel Thomas on trial.

The 20-year-old Frenchman will spend 10 days with the Tannadice club after being released by the German outfit at the end of last year.

Despite lacking match practice, Thomas has impressed in training.

And he is set to be asked to join Tannadice manager Craig Levein's squad for pre-season training
