New signing Warren Feeney grabbed a hat-trick as Dundee United swept to a 4-0 victory over Raith Rovers on Saturday.

The on-loan Cardiff striker latched on to a Noel Hunt pass to score early on and headed his second in the 13th minute.

Feeney completed his treble with a 54th-minute penalty before fellow Irishman Noel Hunt's solo effort rounded off an impressive win.

Spanish forward Francesco Sandaza came off the bench with five minutes left to make his United debut in the Starks Park friendly.

United enjoyed a double triumph as their reserve team also struck four in Fife.

Jon Daly, Marco Andreoni, David Goodwillie and a Spanish trialist were on target as a United XI beat Cowdenbeath 4-2.
