HuntIt has been confirmed that Noel Hunt has joined Reading for £600,000.

Noel Hunt completed his completed his move to join his brother Stephen at Reading. The 25 year old moved soth after Royal manager Steve Coppell had a third bid for the striker accepted by United. Hunt scored 18 goals last season, passed a medical and is expected to join up with his new team mates in Sweden.

Hunt had only 1 year left on his contract at United and Levein said "It's a great opportunity for him and a good piece of business for the club".

Levein was disappointed to see Hunt leave, but believes it is a good deal for the club and a great opportunity for the player.

Levein said, 'This transfer represents an excellent deal for Dundee United and helps bring further financial stability to the club.

'Following an initial enquiry last season, we were aware that Reading might make a formal offer before the close of this transfer window and made plans accordingly.

'We knew that a formal offer would require serious consideration and we knew we had to plan to replace Noel before it became too late to do so.'

We wish Noel all the best in his future Career at Reading and beyond. He's been a fantastic player for United and always given 110%, he will be sorely missed by the United faithful.
