This is an unofficial Dundee United Football Club website. Formed in 1909 and know as Dundee Hibernian FC changed their name to Dundee United FC in 1923. Jim McLean brought success, winning the League in 1983, League Cup twice and reaching the UEFA Cup final in 1987. Craig Levein is now Dundee Utd manager.

Preview of tonights Match against Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park. Kick Off 19:45.

Hamilton manager Billy Reid has a clutch of new players available for his team's first Clydesdale Bank Premier League game at home to Dundee United on Monday night.

Sebastian Sorsa, the 24-year-old Finnish winger who signed a one-year contract with the Lanarkshire club, is the latest recruit to Reid's squad.

Other summer arrivals Sean Murdoch, Mark Corcoran, Derek Lyle, Lucas-Jordan Akins and Brian Carrigan are also in contention.

Dundee United have only two injury absentees for the game.

Long-term injury victims Craig Conway, who has been recovering from a broken foot, and Keith Watson (knee) are edging back to fitness but the start of the season has come too soon.

New signing Roy O'Donovan will join fellow summer arrivals Warren Feeney, Francisco Sandaza, Scott Robertson, Paul Dixon, Andis Shala and Michael McGovern in the squad to play the SPL new-boys.
